GINGER COOKIES

I haven't posted anything in a while. I have been renovating my new apartment.But that doesn't mean that I haven't been in the kitchen.
These crisp biscuits have been my favourite for years. Here's the recipe.It makes around 70 biscuits & the recipe can be halved successfully.

250g butter
1cup sugar
2 eggs
5 tbs golden syrup
4 cups flour
5 ml bicarbonate of soda
30 ml ground ginger
10 ml ground cinnamon
5 ml ground cloves
125ml extra sugar for coating

1) Beat eggs & syrup together.
2) Beat in butter.
3) Sift in dry ingredients & mix well.
4) Scoop out tablespoonfuls of dough & coat in sugar.
5) Bake for about 13 minutes.
6) Cool on wire rack.
