SHORTCUT COCKTAIL SAMOOSAS

I always make samoosas from scratch but for some people it's very time consuming. This is a shortcut version for when you're in a hurry..

10 sheets spring roll pastry. Cut each sheet lengthwise into 3 rectangular pieces to make 30. Keep covered with a damp kitchen towel.
250g cooked mince meat
1 tin of canned peas
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 large finely chopped onion
salat to taste
2 finely chopped green chillies
2 tbsp each finely chopped coriander leaves & mint leaves
the juice of 1 lemon

1) Mix all the filling ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix well & add salt & lemon juice to taste.
2) Using a strip of pastry at a time, place a tablespoon of filling at one end of the strip & diagonally fold the pastry to form a triangle. Use a little water to seal the pastry together.
3) Deep fry in small batches in hot oil until golden brown.
4) Serve hot with fresh coriander chutney or chilly sauce.
